The average person spends 5/6 days of their week working for a living. Some time during the week or on their days off is spent doing chores/ running errands and their loved ones get a part of their Sundays, about a couple of short trips or may be two long vacations a year. There are 52 Sundays in a year. And most people really look forward to their Sundays coz they get to do what they reeeeally want.
Let’s say u r 35 years old, and u think u’ll live to be 80. So that means u have 45 years x 52 sundays per year = 2340 Sundays left.
Two thousand three hundred and forty days that u’ll spend with the people u love/ doing what u enjoy. And someone I know spent their last two Sundays helping their neighbour but fighting with their spouse. It is depressing enough that most folks aren’t pursuing their passions at work, it’s even worse to discover what they r doing with the time they have left to enjoy! I know this has been said before but seriously, it can never be said enough.
Do urself a huge favour and answer these:
What do u want from ur life?
Whatever u r doing now, is it in alignment with what u want?
Be honest. And if u don’t like ur answer, get off ur behind and do something about it!!
I know I did.
Bronnie Ware, a palliative nurse who spent several years caring for patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives, recorded their dying epiphanies in a blog called Inspiration and Chai, and eventually in a book called The Top Five Regrets of the Dying. U don’t want to be one of those guys! The problem with us is that we look at life in years and that looks like a lot of time. But when u break it down to what u do with every single day of ur life (coz how u live ur days, is how u live ur life!) u realise that time some times things don’t go as planned and we run out of time even when we thought we had it made. Every thing is uncertain, all we have is today, this moment. But we do have all of NOW 🙂
By the way, the number is 2339 coz today’s a sunday, and it will be over before u know it! Have a beeeeeautiful one!!! XO!
